Robert Haber, M.D. is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Pediatrics, and specializes in the practice of Hair Restoration Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery, and Pediatric Dermatology. He is Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and a past Director of Pediatric Dermatology at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital of University Hospitals of Cleveland. These affiliations require Dr. Haber to maintain the highest levels of surgical skills and ethics.
Dr. Haber is one of Cleveland's experts in the care of pediatric skin disorders, including vascular growths, congenital lesions, and infectious disorders. He is an expert in the diagnosis and management of pigmented moles in children and adolescents, and served on the American Academy of Dermatology's Melanoma/Skin Cancer committee.
Dr. Haber is today recognized internationally as one of the finest hair transplant surgeons of his generation. In 1995, he was honored with the first Award of Excellence granted by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery on recognition of his innovative techniques. In 1998, the Hair Transplant Forum International recognized him as a Surgeon of the Month, an honor given to only six surgeons in the world each year. Locally, his techniques and successful results have been featured on television as well as in The Plain Dealer.
Dr. Haber is strongly committed to the education and training of other surgeons, and over the past several years has organized over 20 surgical workshops designed to teach both beginning and advanced surgeons the most up-to-date techniques available. He collaborated as the co-author of the textbook "Hair Transplantation" (Elsevier Publishing Company, 2006), which is the world’s best-selling textbook in the field. Beginning as well as advanced surgeons, from around the world use this text as a teaching tool to upgrade their techniques and provide the most advanced procedures for their patients.
Dr. Haber has been invited to speak about and teach his surgical techniques nationally in Washington, D.C., Nashville, Dallas, New Orleans, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Orlando, internationally in Toronto, Rome, Sicily, Barcelona, and Mexico.
